NBA fans can debate who the greatest of all-time is between Michael Jordan and LeBron James, but DeMar DeRozan has a different answer when it comes to the most talented player he has ever seen.
The Chicago Bulls forward answered Kyrie Irving when asked that during an appearance on the Pivot Podcast.
DeRozan is not the only one who feels that way, as former NBA player Jay Williams and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant are among those who have said in the past that Irving is the most skilled player in league history.
It is hard to argue with Irving’s talent level, as the 6’2″ guard brings incredible handle, speed, vision, shooting and finishing ability to the table. He can weave through defenses with ease and then finish at the rim over taller players at a level rarely seen in the history of the game.
He also made one of the NBA’s most famous shots when he drained what proved to be the winning three-pointer in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers against the record-setting Golden State Warriors.
Irving has his eyes on another championship this season after helping lead the Dallas Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals.
Overcoming a matchup with another talented star in Anthony Edwards will be anything but easy, but Irving has done enough in the eyes of many of his peers to be recognized as an all-time great.
